Charlton Road West
Charlton Road West is a fictional depot designed purely for the enjoyment of shunting and listening to the sound of DCC locomotives.
Two 6 feet by 2 feet boards originally built to dabble in O gauge quickly got put on the back burner for a larger O Gauge layout but now have been utilised for this shunting depot scene.
The boards are constructed to a monocoque design then topped with foam board to which the track has been affixed.
The layout is powered by ESU's Ecos system controlling all locomotives, signals and point motors natively.
Point motors are DCC Concepts Cobalt IP Digital.
Rolling stock is a mixture of Heljan, Dapol, Bachmann Brassworks and some Kitbuilt items. Sound decoders are mostly ESU Loksound from "Road and Rails" which are then further tweaked using ESU's Lokprogrammer
